From Victor the Car Guy
Help us get your car back faster.
Before you bring your car in, PAY ATTENTION to what it’s doing—and when.
Even if the check engine light comes on and the car drives normally, tell us what happened before it appeared:
- “It was a cold morning. I drove three blocks, and the light came on.”
- “I’d been on the freeway for half an hour after work.”
- “It came on while driving uphill.”
- “I stopped at the store for 10 minutes, then got on the freeway.”
- “I got gas yesterday.”
If the car acts differently, tell us how—and whether it happens every time or only sometimes.
Don’t tell us what you THINK is wrong. Tell us what the CAR IS DOING and when it happens.
Don’t remember? That’s okay. Tell us what you know without guessing.
These details help us find the problem sooner and get you back on the road.
